38th British Columbia Japanese Speech Contest
The 38th (2026) Annual British Columbia Japanese Speech Contest will be soon accepting applications from all British Columbia and Yukon residents who study Japanese as a foreign or second language
Contest Date and Times:- Date: Saturday, March 7, 2026
- Time: High School: 10:00am-12:00pm, University/Open: 1:00-5:30 pm
Contest Location:- In-person venue: Asian Centre, University of British Columbia

- Send 1) your speech script 2) audio file and 3) Consent Form to bcjapanese@gmail.com by the deadline
- Register via the online Application Form by the deadline
Application Deadline: February 6, 2026 5:00pm
The BC Japanese Speech Contest Organizing Committee is pleased to announce
that the following High School Division applicants have passed the preliminary screening
and will advance to the final round of the contest, to be held in person
on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Asian Centre, UBC.
Further details regarding the final round will be sent to the finalists in due course.
